As we approach the end of the year, I am writing to you with appreciation for my beloved Essential Motion community.
I am reflecting on the evolution of Essential Motion over the last 30 years and the contributions that so many of you have made to the growth of the work.
Your involvement in this important practice of Essential Motion – Embodied Awareness is what inspires me to continue offering the work. I am grateful from the bottom of my heart to all of you.
For me, this time of the year is an invitation to pause my day-to-day activities and turn my attention toward family and loved ones, and also to take time to reflect on my relationship with myself and confer with my heart.
“It is possible to speak with our heart directly. Most ancient cultures know this. We can actually converse with our heart as if it were a good friend.
In modern life, we have become so busy with our daily affairs and thoughts that we have lost this essential art of taking time to converse with our heart.”
~ Jack Kornfield
I am hoping that you will have moments of peace and calm over the holidays. Take time to listen to your body and confer with your heart. I look forward to connecting with you in the New Year.
Now…pause…relax your jaw…sense your feet….and take three breaths.
With Love and Gratitude,
Karen Roeper

“Gratitude is wine for the soul. Go on. Get drunk.”
